Kia got his master’s degree in Communication Design from the New York Pratt Institute in 1983. From 1985 to 1994, Kia held senior creative management roles at Grey Advertising and Foote, Cone and Belding (FCB). In an effort to pursue his objective full time, he left FCB in 1994 to start “Yellow & Yellow”, his own full service advertising agency. Since then, he has been developing collateral concepts for various clients in the USA and The United Kingdom.
Kia also ventured in the art gallery world and opened Gallery Yellow (2005-2012), a center for art & art objects in Northern Westchester county at the Yellow Monkey Village in Cross River, New York.
For several years, he worked as a freelancer with his brothers and in their architectural offices directly or on-line in Tehran and Manchester U.K.
Kia joined FSA in 2021 as a Building Envelope Consultant.
