Ms. Maria Karamanou is a graduate of the School of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, she is a Registered Architect in Greece since 1999. She moved in NYC in 2001. During her 20+ years of working experience in NY, she has worked in a plethora of projects throughout the city for all sorts of building envelope concepts, new and old.
She has a wide spectrum of knowledge for building façade systems and roofing applications. Maria assists Architects of Record in the development of façade and roofing detailing required for the needs of each project and continues with Shop Drawings and Materials’ Submittals and their compliance with the Architects’ Specs, as well as QC inspections during construction.
She also works in the territory of historic preservation and rehabilitation, including but not limited to NYC’s Local Law 11 services for façade inspection and reporting to NYC-DOB.
